Englands "first and last" forge, Pencarn Forge on Penwith.
Dan’s career started with a 5 year apprenticeship with F. R Granthams in 1964, before he set up his own business in Sussex in 1969, a business that was to last 10 years until the decision to move down to Cornwall.

NICO KENNA

Lead blacksmith and founder of Trevella Farm Forge, Nr Truro.
Originally a professional sailor Nico started blacksmithing as a hobby in his downtime, He left the sea behind in 2018 to start developing his skills towards working full time as a Blacksmith,
He is passionate about the craft and loves sharing his knowledge with others.

​Jeremy has chosen to set Blue Jay Metal crafts up in Cornwall with the aim of promoting traditional crafts by offering training opportunities as well as working with other craftspeople on projects in the local area

TRISTAN KESSELL

Tristan has been aiming hammers at hot metal for over 30 years, and is still exploring this endlessly versatile age-old trade.
Working out of an old forge in the historic mining village of Carnkie, Tristan enjoys bringing people together around the anvil to share his insights and passion for this traditional craft.
Beyond commissions, Tristan offers courses in all levels of blacksmithing and Damascus steel.
Tristan sees the art of Damascus Steel as the pinnacle of a blacksmith’s skill, devotion and concentration. Every single hammer blow leaving an indelible mark on the pattern.
